How often do you meet?
Every Thursday - October through July from 7 pm - 9 pm. Also one Saturday a month.
Who Can Join?
We are accepting males and females, ages 10-16 at this time.
What are the associated costs I can expect?
One-time application fee.
Purchase of uniform & upkeep.
Trips.
Are there any trips?
Yes, there is one weekend trip that is mandatory for recruits in the spring. We also have an optional week-long trip during the summer.
Additional optional trips may be scheduled throughout the year.
What happens if my son/daughter no longer wishes to be a part of the program?
There is no problem if the child no longer wishes to stay. We just ask that you let us know before they leave via phone or email.
Please note we have a strict no-refund policy.
Does my son/daughter have to participate in additional events?
No, unless the event is marked as mandatory by the command, i.e.; Parades, Crucible, etc.
Does my son have to cut his hair?
Yes, we require all personnel to have a regulation Marine Corps haircut.
What is the attendance policy?
We allow 3 excused and 2 unexcused absences throughout the scheduled year. If more absences are observed, it may be grounds for dismissal.
What do we do if my Recruit/Cadet can not attend a drill period?
Your Recruit/Cadet must call our office phone and leave their rank, name, and the reason they will not be there. We have the kids call to instill a sense of reasonability.
How long is Recruit Training?
Recruit training runs from October through April. Once they graduate, they will join the ranks of the Cadet Platoon.
How long can my son stay in the program?
The Cadet can stay in the program until they turn 18. If they turn 18 before the end of the training year, they can stay until we get back from our annual week long training in the summer.
What happens if there is a cancelation due to weather or natural disaster?
We will send an email to the primary email on file
